Goldreed Industrial Design Award 2021 Announced Winners  

5 Gold Awards for innovative design and no recipient for Best of the Best

News from Hebei Daily (reported by Zhang Weiya) On the evening of October 17th, Splendid Design Night & GIDA2021 Award Ceremony, one of the key events of HIDW 2021, was held in Xiongan Railway Station to award 43 design works from all over the world. It elected 5 Gold Awards and announced the vacancy of Best of the Best. This activity also invited Lv Shiming, the vice chairman of the China Disabled Persons’ Federation and Hu Qisheng, the vice governor.

Since the calling for entries on March 1st, GIDA 2021 collected a total of 6,464 creative designs from 53 countries and regions. Finally, 5 design works won Gold Award by the final evaluation from 9 domestic and foreign master with professional views, including Gold Award for the Best Smart Design for “NEOLIX X3”, Gold Award for the Best Human-centered Design for “NS100 Orthopedic Robotic Surgery Platform”, Gold Award for the Best Appearance Design for “ST-One”, Gold Award for the Best Greene Design for “New-catenary-less power supply for urban rail trains”, Gold Award for the Best Communication Design for “OBSBOT Me”, Future Star Award for “Based on the future city - Intelligent Freight high speed railway logistics system” and “X-ferry bus”.

There were 27 Good Product Design Awards including “Shenzhen Intelligent Urban Furniture” and “Wuzhen People’s Park smart new infrastructure”. There were 9 Good Concept Design Awards including “Whecat” and “Translators-Life assist smart glasses device for hearing impaired”.

This year, GIDA decided to give no recipient for Best of the Best after comprehensive and careful consideration, on the account of the pursuing for perfect, excellent and revolutionary designs and the jury’s high demands and standards.
