At present, the global robotics industry is entering a critical period marked by rapid technological breakthroughs and industrial transformation. China has emerged as a major driving force in the global robotics landscape. As representative products of China’s robotics industry, humanoid robots and intelligent specialized robots are moving from proof of concept toward large-scale delivery, ushering in a new era of mass production. As a key driver of the rapid growth of China’s robotics sector, industrial design is creating broader opportunities for the robotics market. It is also helping “Chinese robots” enter the market with a warmer, more approachable presence, while differentiated design languages enable companies to break away from homogeneous competition and enhance their market competitiveness.
The Hebei robotics industry cluster is at a critical stage of building momentum for accelerated growth. With a large number of “Single Champion” products and multiple robotics segments ranking first nationwide in market share, the cluster has established a strong industrial foundation. At the same time, however, its development remains significantly unbalanced. Insufficient supply of high-end products, weak R&D capabilities, and the urgent need to optimize robot exterior design have become key challenges restricting the large-scale development of the industry cluster.

To address these challenges facing the Hebei robotics industry cluster, the Hebei International Industrial Design Week is organizing the Hebei Robotics Industry Design Innovation Matchmaking Conference under the theme “Empowering with Intelligent Design · Robots Converge in Xiong’an.” Using design as a bridge, the event aims to facilitate precise matching between design resources and the needs of the robotics industry, helping the Hebei robotics industry cluster overcome development bottlenecks, inject new momentum for innovation, and seize the opportunities presented by the “first year of mass production.”
The event has brought together industrial design and human-machine interaction service providers, platforms and design institutions for robotics applications, and representatives of the Hebei robotics industry cluster. Participants will share insights and engage in discussions on key topics including human-machine interaction optimization, lightweight structural design, scenario-based customization for service robots, and the exterior design and systematic identification of industrial robotic arms.
