The accelerated implementation of generative AI, multimodal large models and agents, along with the deep integration of AI and manufacturing, has become the most prominent feature of the new round of industrial transformation. For manufacturing enterprises, AI is no longer a nice-to-have novelty, but a mandatory question tied to efficiency and competitiveness.

As a major manufacturing province, Hebei is home to 107 characteristic industrial clusters. Faced with fierce market competition, cluster enterprises need to keep pace with the market while controlling design costs. The combination of AI and industrial design not only accelerates the digital and intelligent transformation of manufacturing, but also serves as a vital solution to tackle the challenges of "design homogenization" and "high innovation costs" within industrial clusters. It enables design to act as a key driving force for the upgrading of Hebei’s manufacturing industry.

For this year’s Design Week, an AI + Industrial Design Matchmaking Session themed “Intelligent Design Empowerment · Industrial Chain Renewal” has been carefully organized. Centering on the development needs of key clusters including textile and apparel, medical devices, and furniture, the event invites enterprises and platforms engaged in AI large models to showcase practical cases of intelligent design applications and share cutting-edge insights. Together, participants will explore brand-new directions for industrial design innovation amid the digital wave.
