Overview

In addition to the Hebei International Industrial Design Innovation Achievement Exhibition which will last for four days, this year's HIDC also held more than 10 series of activities during the same period. Combining online and offline exhibition modes, it builds an international platform of design cooperation integrating “forum, exhibition and award” events, including Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei&Hong Kong-Macao-Taiwan Design Pioneer Forum, Opening Ceremony & Keynote Speech, Xiongan Design Forum, GIDA 2024 Award Ceremony, International New Design Products Launch, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Match Me Event and the the Fifth Xiongan Group Achievement and Demand Special Launch. The GIDA Award's global tour showcases outstanding entries at the London Design Festival, spreading design value. 5G, VR/AR, big data and other modern information technologies are applied to break the limits of time and space and online platforms of using advanced technologies including “cloud exhibition” and “cloud live” are introduced to link offline activities.


The sub-venue events of the Design Week were hosted by municipal governments across Hebei Province, combined with the Industrial Design Experts Tour, featuring activities such as design summits, design lectures and matchmaking sessions, and design forums. The Industrial Design Experts Tour linked the main venue events of the first three days of the Design Week with the subsequent sub-venue events, organizing design institutions and designers from Italy, Sweden, the UK, Germany, South Korea, France, Denmark, Finland, and other countries to conduct on-site visits to industrial clusters throughout Hebei. This allowed them to gain a close understanding of the province's industrial strengths, further expanded the influence of the Design Week, and conveyed Hebei's determination and confidence in developing industrial design and promoting industrial transformation and upgrading to both domestic and international audiences.

The sub-venue activities of Hebei International Industrial Design Week (HIDW) were organized by the related municipal governments of Hebei Province. Combined with the Design Innovation Tour, a series of activities were held such as Design Summit Forum, Design Master Lecture and Matchmaking Meeting. The Design Innovation Tour links the main venue activities in the first 4 days and the subsequent sub-venue activities during HIDW. It organizes the visit to Hebei industry clusters for design organizations and designers from Netherlands, Sweden, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Tianjin and other countries and regions, in order to give a close investigation to Hebei industry advantages, to expand the influence of HIDW further and to show Hebei's determination and confidence of developing industrial design and promoting industrial transformation to home and abroad.
